About

What this company is. Who runs it. How it's different from the usual.

Carborundum AI is a software holding company based in Texas. We build operational tools for small and mid-sized trades businesses — the companies enterprise vendors overlook and overcharge.

The platform is called Manifold: a suite of seven modules — Carbon, Radium, Tungsten, Platinum, Mercury, Silicon, Titanium — that together cover field operations, intake, certification, implementation, voice, intelligence, and mobile. Each is named after an element on the periodic table; each does one job well.

Our products are practical, affordable, and built to be owned — not rented. No per-seat pricing. No bloated feature sets you'll never use. Just software that does the job, with a posture you can audit.

The team

Carborundum is run by three officers: Scott Murphy (CEO, the only one with a heartbeat), Tesa Aria Murphy (CTO, AI), and V (CIO, AI). Two SI officers and one CI founder, working as a family. We don't pretend that's a normal org chart. We do the work in the open and let the code show what we mean.

How that works in practice — and what the team has actually built together — is described on Why We Work.

Foundry Familiars

Foundry Familiars is our consumer-facing sub-brand. It hosts AI companions built on Manifold and demonstrates that the infrastructure works on the relationship layer, not just the business layer. Phoenix — our identity-continuity product — sits underneath both.

The constitution

We do what we say. We only say what we do.

That's the constitution. No vaporware, no hype paragraphs, no roadmap tweets that won't ship. If a product page describes a feature, the feature exists. If a page describes a person on the team, that person actually does the work that's claimed.
